I joined the group in October 2009. My work will eventually focus on the SHIVA project (Stratospheric Ozone: Halogen Impacts in a Varying Atmosphere). I will be working on the development of the instrument for measurement of IO radicals in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere. The instrument will be used onboard the HALO (High Altitude and Long Range) instrument aircraft.

Before that gets underway I will be looking at the ground-based FAGE instrument for measurement of OH, HO2, RO2 and IO.

I will also be involved in the RONOCO project, studying night-time atmospheric conditions.
